The 800S Thermal Sliding Glass Door incorporates strut technology as manufactured by Technoform Bautec, a global leader in struts.
The strut system is constructed of recyclable polyamide 6.6 with 25% glass fibers on all 3 axes, dramatically improving U-factor and condensation resistance performance over existing polyurethane pocket thermal break systems and is independently certified to AAMA and ASTM standards. The strut system obtains an aluminum composite shear value of 800 pounds for a 4” section. The strut works in conjunction with an aluminum frame section of extruded 6063-T5 to form a true mechanical connection with a similar coefficient rate of expansion.
The 800S provides thermal efficiency with a simulated U-value of 0.41. In addition, struts have been documented to improve acoustic performance. The 800S is available in class 1 clear and black anodized, or a powder coat finish with all RAL colors available. The Bonelli Series 800S incorporates stainless steel back-to-back pull hardware. The vent panel houses a tandem carriage with 3” stainless steel rollers that glide on a stainless steel track and all door panels have a nominal wall thickness of .125. These components are used in every custom fabricated Bonelli door.
